3D SOUND ROOM BY SON ESTRELLA GALICIA

04.07.2017

The main news of MIRA 2017 has its own name, content and form: We are announcing a second, brand new stage with the aim of expanding the programming and activities of the festival, always from the point of view of digital arts. It’s the 3D Sound Room by SON Estrella Galicia, which will host 3D sound shows in the CAC (Centre d’Art de Catalunya) room at Fabra i Coats (on the ground floor of the venue). This space will be totally transformed since its museum use will cease to step onto a stage specially programmed from our vision of the current electronic, oriented-to-dance music. This technological point of our new scenic bet seeks to maximize the relationship between space, audio and interaction with the audience.

Dedicated to shows designed to be put on stage with surround sound and equipped with the audio-immersive technology created by Intorno Labs, the 3D Sound Room by SON Estrella Galicia will have a multi-channel sound system with speakers placed around the room while the artist acts from its center, and proposes a dynamic sound with extremely detailed soundscapes, an unprecedented multi-sensory environment to feel the depth and the movement of sound.

The 3D Sound Room by SON Estrella Galicia already has its first artists confirmed for the appointment at MIRA 2017, the next 9, 10 and 11 November: Voiski, referent of the Parisian scene, with a show that will mix (what he calls) post-trance and techno with infinite loops, beats and futuristic sound; and Tolouse Low Trax, key figure of the great scene in the German city of Düsseldorf and a co-founder of the legendary Salon des Amateurs, who will offer a direct plenty of different genres, dance minimal sounds and fuzzy, full of energy scenarios.
