Arca

Arca is a Venezuelan artist, producer, singer, songwriter and DJ based in Barcelona, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in contemporary experimental electronic music. Her work blurs the boundaries between noise, club music, ambient, pop, reggaeton and Venezuelan music, creating a language of her own in which the body, technology, identity and transformation take centre stage.

Throughout her career, she has released works such as Xen, Mutant, Arca and the Kick pentalogy, and has collaborated with artists including Björk, Rosalía, FKA twigs, Kanye West, Shygirl, Kelela and Frank Ocean. Her practice also extends into visual arts, performance and fashion, with recent milestones including her first painting exhibition at London’s ICA. Together, these projects consolidate a radical, constantly evolving universe that has redefined the boundaries of electronic music and pop culture.

She has released XXXXX via XL Recordings, her first LP since the Kick pentalogy. Spanning sixteen tracks, the record is darker, more aggressive and more experimental, and was initially conceived as a mixtape in the vein of @ @ @ @ @ (2020) and &&&&& (2013). On it, she returns to exploration and instinct as her guiding methods. She will present it live at MIRA 2026 on Friday, 6 November.
