Anthony Rother

Anthony Rother is a key figure in European electronic music, an electro pioneer and visionary known for shaping a sonic universe rooted in the relationship between technology, society, and the future. With a career that began in the late 1990s, he has developed a distinctive language built on dark synthesizers, vocoder-driven vocals, and dystopian narratives.

Through projects such as Hacker and Simulationszeitalter, and his label Psi49Net, Rother has established a deeply independent and conceptual artistic vision, where music becomes a tool to explore perception and the impact of technological progress.

Launched in 2003, the DATAPUNK project marked a turning point in his career, introducing a more melodic and emotional dimension with releases like Popkiller and iconic tracks such as “Back Home”, “Father”, and “Punks”. After a period of artistic reinvention, Rother now revisits this universe from a renewed perspective, bridging past and present.
