Azu Tiwaline is a producer inspired by the need to explore his origins, rooted in the Tunisian Sahara. Combining the influences of Berber music, dub culture and techno hypnosis, Tiwaline invites us to refocus on our feelings and our nature. He knows how to use the contrasts between light and darkness, exploring the complexity of our emotions and the mystery that emanates from them, in a hypnotic clarity that runs through his music.

He burst onto the scene in 2020 with Draw Em A Silence on I.O.T. Records, a release that quickly attracted the attention of Lena Willikens, Peverelist, Do Not Dj, JASSS, Anunaku, Laksa, and many more.

Defasten (Patrick Doan) is a digital artist based in Berlin. Active since the dawn of the Internet, his future-oriented visual design aesthetic exists through audio-reactive and hyper-3D digital videos and performances, from architecturally deconstructed cyberspaces to virtual clubs. These network-based realities have taken shape from their interests in current and future technology, along with the rapidly altering mechanised landscape of the post-anthropocene driven by deep neural AI.

They arrive at MIRA 2021 with an audiovisual show commissioned by the festival.
