Carla dal Forno’s music is the sound of in-between states; the sound of the mist that shrouds a lake at dawn, the moonlight fading as the sun begins to rise. Over a sonic palette ranging from the dazed and psychedelic to the forceful and industrial, her voice hovers, suspended like a dubbed-out, bodiless spectre in a dream.

Her two latest releases on Blackest Ever Black, “You Know What It’s Like” (2016) and her most recent EP “The Garden”, released in October 2017, were both received with wide acclaim by both listeners and critics alike, further establishing the Berlin-based Australian producer, songwriter, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist as one of the most interesting voices navigating the currents of contemporary electronic pop mutations.

Accompanied by visual work created by French visual artist Ludovic Sauvage, dal Forno’s performance at MIRA will mark her first live show in Barcelona. She is currently working on new material, the results of which we will hopefully get to experience at this year’s festival.
