Corprès

Corprès is the alter ego of Joan Torné’s solo project. A musician, composer and performer based in Barcelona, he is an active figure in the city’s free improvisation and experimental sound scene, developing a practice in which sound and body function as a single expressive language.

His work begins with physical and sonic improvisation, using analog synthesizers, contact microphones, circuit bending and effects to construct a visceral and unpredictable mass of sound. Free from form, structure, rhythm and harmony, his performances explore the boundary between control, chaos and absurdity, moving between overwhelming noise and the deepest silence.

After touring Europe and Mexico and appearing at several experimental sound festivals, he released the solo works A+ (2024) and X MOR DE TU (2025) through Discos Pinya. He has also collaborated with artists including Arnau Casanoves and Gyokusatsu, consolidating an intense, ephemeral and constantly changing practice.
