Johnny Jewel

LIVE A/V

Eclectic composer and producer Johnny Jewel combines analog synthesizers with electro-acoustic instruments to create ultra-vivid textural landscapes. Owner and director for the past two decades of the influential Italians Do It Better label, Jewel is also the creative force behind the legendary synth-pop groups Desire, Chromatics, and Glass Candy.

As a film composer, he is best known for his work with Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn on the films Bronson and Drive, and in 2017 he appeared on screen in David Lynch’s iconic Twin Peaks, as well as contributing to its musical score alongside Angelo Badalamenti. Recruited by The Weeknd to remix ‘Blinding Lights’, he has collaborated with electronic elites Diplo, Guy Gerber, Maceo Plex, Omar S, and The Hacker, and his tracks have been sampled by Kid Cudi, 21 Savage, Jarvis Cocker, P Diddy and Nas.

As a solo artist, Johnny Jewel has released seven instrumental concept albums under his own name. His performance at MIRA will be the Spanish premiere of his new live show.
