Marc Arnela
Marc Arnela is an acoustical engineer, researcher and musician specialising in the study and simulation of the human voice. He is a professor at La Salle – Universitat Ramon Llull and leads its Acoustics Lab, where his research focuses on vocal tract acoustics, voice synthesis and mechanical replicas of human voice production. His background combines telecommunications and acoustical engineering with musical training, specialising in piano.
His practice connects scientific research, music and digital creation, exploring new ways of generating and experimenting with the voice through physical and technological systems. This research forms the basis of AEDOSSYNTH, which expands on the work initiated with Aedos, presented at Sónar+D 2024.
