Óldo Érreve

Óldo Erréve is an interdisciplinary artist, digital performer and photographer born and based in Mexico City. His practice explores identity, the body and technology through the tension between the human and the avatar, the ancestral and the futuristic. Through performance, installation, digital and generative art, he investigates new forms of bodily representation within expanded environments and processes of mutation linked to posthumanism and artificial intelligence.

His work has received support from institutions including the LACMA Art + Technology Lab and SACPC/FONCA, and has been presented in Mexico, Germany, Spain, Canada and the United States. He has also developed projects with institutions such as CalArts REDCAT, UCLA Center for the Art of Performance and Laboratorio Arte Alameda.
