Oneohtrix Point Never MIRA 2024

Daniel Lopatin is a Brooklyn-based musician, songwriter, and producer who records and performs under the alias Oneohtrix Point Never. Lopatin has released numerous critically acclaimed albums; his tenth album, which is also his most recent, “Again,” was released in October 2023 and is considered his most expansive work to date.

Lopatin composed and performed the music for Chanel’s 2021 Métiers d’art AV show and was also the musical director for The Weeknd’s 2021 Super Bowl halftime performance. The following year he was executive producer of “Dawn FM”, his number 1 album on the world sales charts, in which he also performs most of the songs. He has collaborated with numerous artists, including James Blake, Ishmael Butler, Charli XCX, Kelsey Lu, Iggy Pop and Rosalía, and his producing credits include Anohni, FKA Twigs, David Byrne, Moses Sumney, Nine Inch Nails and MGMT.

His original film scores include Josh and Benny Safdie’s Uncut Gems (2019) and Good Time (2017), for which he received the Best Score Award at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. His music has been included in other films, including The Bling Ring (2013), by Sofia Coppola. Most recently he was executive producer of the soundtrack for The Curse, a series produced by Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie for Showtime, with music by John Medeski.

At MIRA 2024, Oneohtrix Point Never will present the highly anticipated live performance of Again amid his most comprehensive tour to date, spanning Asia, Europe and the United States. Acclaimed multidisciplinary artist Freeka Tet will provide design, creative direction and visual effects, with digital animation by long-time collaborator Nate Boyce.
