Playmodes presents ESPILLS

Playmodes is an audiovisual research studio. Halfway between design, art and engineering, they create audiovisual works through new technologies.

Their language focuses on the consolidation of space, sound, image and movement through multiple perspectives. From immersive generative light and sound installations, sculptural devices or audio-visual performances with instrumental performers, Playmodes explores an audiovisual universe through creative codification.

Premiere in Barcelona, Espills is a dynamic light sculpture that uses laser beams and their reflection in water to create a generative audiovisual installation in real time. Inspired by the formation and erosion of crystalline structures, the geometric figures floating in the air represent the transmutation of matter from chaos to order. The installation integrates sound design through sonification algorithms that transform light into music, thus completing this alchemical landscape.
