WIDE/SIDE by João Martinho Moura

João Martinho Moura is a researcher and media artist whose interests are focused in digital art, intelligent interfaces, digital music and computational aesthetics and he’s developed pioneering research work in the area of human-computer interfaces applied to digital interfaces.

The version of “WIDE/SIDE” to be shown in MIRA 2015 will have a form of interactive installation which represents the body, inter-connected, whose silhouette is captured by sensors, promoting immersive experiences, using fast light beams projected in vertical bars that form a kinetic sculpture. The body is represented digitally in an abstract space and generatively changed in time. The interaction is synchronized with sound atmospheres, which react to the lines generated by the silhouettes and their movement.
