Educational program

The Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Arts at La Salle – Universitat Ramon Llull was created and promoted with the collaboration of the MIRA management team. Since 2023, MIRA has also been involved in creative master’s programs at Barcelona-based educational institutions ELISAVA, IED, EINA, and La Salle itself, where the festival is presented, mentors are provided, and creative and technical support is given for the development of the installations, performances, and live acts that more than 120 young students present live at the festival.

The premise is clear: young talent is just as important as the headliners. For this reason, they appear at the same level in the festival lineup, with no distinctions or hierarchies. All together as one.

At the same time, during the weeks leading up to the festival, several workshops are held in the districts of Sant Andreu and Sants-Montjuïc, with the direct participation of children, young people at risk of social exclusion, professionals, technologists, engineers, creatives, and elderly people.

In collaboration with Bit Lab, from October 28 to 30, at Fabra i Coats (MIRA’s main venue for 10 years), a workshop on immersive techniques and real-time visual creation was held, along with a grand finale featuring live performances.

As part of a social return initiative for the neighborhood-district where the festival takes place, we worked with several organizations to organize introductory workshops on contemporary music creation, visual arts, and digital culture. These were single-session workshops in which local MIRA artists shared their knowledge with groups at risk of social exclusion of different ages.

The content of the 2025 sessions was tailor-made for each group, coordinated between the organizations’ representatives and the participating artists, who took part on a voluntary basis.
