GRID arrives, the new meeting space for Catalan musical and visual artists

Together with CANADA and Plató Nou, and with the support of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya, we announce the launch of GRID, an innovative project that redefines the audiovisual experience through immersive technology.

GRID leverages the potential of Plató Nou’s virtual production studio, developed by Lavinia and Appia, to create a collection of unique audiovisual sessions. The project brings together performances by emerging musicians and visuals by Catalan artists, curated by MIRA and carefully produced by CANADA. The result is 15-minute audiovisual pieces that explore new creative languages and offer a deeply immersive experience for the audience.

GRID’s main goal is to internationally showcase Catalan talent, giving visibility to visual artists and emerging musicians. The project aims to create a distinctive and recognizable format, building a historical visual catalog of Catalan creations and documenting the current creative boom.

The Program

GRID follows a simple dynamic: for its first season, five 15-minute video capsules have been produced, each featuring a musical artist and a visual artist. These pieces will be revealed monthly on its website and MIRA’s YouTube channel.

On the musical side, the first confirmed artists are TIEMEI, damoridemort, Pauk, and 1V4N. In the visual arts field, they will be joined by Desilence, Pol Roig, Martina Ampuero, Eyesberg and MASSÓ, forming creative pairs that will use the GRID studio as a blank canvas.

Each musical performance will feature exclusive material, which the visual artist will interpret to create something uniquely customized for each piece.

The first episode of GRID, featuring TIEMEI + Desilence, is now available on the GRID website and our YouTube channel.
