Els Cignes Salvatges

Based on the classic fairy tale by Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen, the work offers a contemporary reinterpretation inspired by the aesthetics of traditional puppet theatres, with a particular focus on folk storytelling as a form of collective memory.

All the visual elements have been hand-painted, digitised, and subsequently animated to preserve the warmth, texture, and depth of traditional art. This handcrafted approach is brought into dialogue with an original soundtrack built around leitmotifs, drawing influences from both classical music and the iconic soundtracks of animated films.

Els Cignes Salvatges (The Wild Swans) revives the shared act of listening to a story, becoming a space for refuge and contemplation, where audiences can reconnect with the sense of wonder characteristic of childhood.
