This ephemeral and interactive installation stems from the growing distance between people and the rhythms and sensitivities of the natural world, within a society increasingly mediated by digital and technological environments. Inside the Fira venue, a living garden is created that challenges the false dichotomy between nature and technology, integrating vegetation, light, sound, and audience participation into a shared sensory experience. This direct interaction with the space becomes a way of reconnecting with the environment and becoming aware of the relationship between body, technology, and nature.
Sensors placed around the garden generate variations in light that interact with a sound dimension created through contact microphones located in different areas of the garden. These capture the vibrations and physical interactions of visitors and transform them, through reactive synthesizers, into soundscapes reproduced by a distributed speaker system throughout the space.
This is a collaborative project conceived as part of the Projects 6: Visual Creation course within the Bachelor’s Degree in Design, tutored by Adrià Julià.
The student collective consists of: Alba Bernal, Wal Antonio Couyi, Lola Elbert, Simón Fernández, Mario Luna, Andrea Maymó, Noubi Oliete, Aleix Peguera, and Samuel Ben Ramis.
