Since its premiere in 2015, MIRA Dome by adidas Originals is one of the key points of our proposal as a digital arts festival. Through the programming that we propose for this 360º dome, dedicated to projects created in fulldome format, we look to offer a spectacular framework that provides the audience with completely immersive experiences, with the highest levels of comfort and audiovisual quality and with the aim of breaking the limits of visual creativity.
For this edition of the festival, the MIRA Dome by adidas Originals programme, co-produced with Eyesberg Studio powered by Smode, will offer: screenings (video art pieces in 360º format), an audiovisual show, a workshop and a masterclass.

MIRA presents two immersive pieces that are part of the “The New Infinity” programme, co-produced with Berliner Festspiele / Immersion and the Hamburg Planetarium, for the MIRA Dome by adidas Originals.
EYE OF THE DREAM by David O’Reilly
This dazzling fulldome piece combines light, colour and sound as it explores fractal geometry and the arrangement of objects in space and. Here, each moment is unrepeatable.
Its creator is David O’Reilly who, based on the software of his mega-award-winning video game “Everything”, has created this wonderful fulldome 360º piece. O’Reilly is also the creator of “Mountain”, another great hit in the gaming world.
EXTRAORDINARY ALIEN by Fatima Al Qadiri & Transforma
A 360º fulldome piece that is pure science fiction and that aims to create a convincing extraterrestrial form beyond the clichés of Hollywood movies. Generated with what appear to be simple materials, these generate textures similar to planetary surfaces, galaxies and alien masks. Add to this a soundtrack that is based on a single phrase that repeats itself with different sounds, as if it were making fun of the alien and its surroundings.
Its creators are Fatima Al Qadiri (music and sound), a producer and multimedia artist whose work expresses her life experiences, often mixing certain aspects of Middle Eastern tradition with the new currents of electronic music, and Transforma (visuals), the creative company founded in 2001 by Luke Bennett, Baris Hasselbach and Simon Krahl, who produce audiovisual performances, installations and music videos through their unique vision of the live visual experience.
CONTEMPORARY HARDCORE by Konx-om-Pax
A highly emotive 360º fulldome piece that will be premiered in the MIRA Dome by adidas Originals. Inspired by hardcore’s morning-after atmosphere and the traces of delirium from the previous night, it takes us on a journey along neural pathways lit by neon lights and the first rays of daylight, its euphoric soundtrack enhancing the piece’s magnificent digital tones.
Its creator is Tom Scholefield, the creative mind behind the Konx-Om-Pax alias, a multidisciplinary artist who now surprises us with his visual facet, generating impressive 3D effects in real time.
SPECTRUM OF THE CORAL by Fragmatista
Piece co-commissioned with Zaiba Jabbar, founder of the Hervisions platform, transports us to an immersive space created from a surreal world full of digitalized landscapes in which the artist experiments with 3D scanning and VR sculptures in real time.
Her creator is Fragmatista, alias of Peruvian artist Giselle Angeles, whose work reflects a deep investigation into the technology and nature of digital environments. Her collaborations with artists, musicians and design studios have positioned her as one of the most interesting creators in the field.
ANTARCTIC TAKT by Dasha Rush & Stanislav Glaszov
Antarctic Takt is an audiovisual performance that aims to send the audience on a journey to an abstract Antarctic, full of mystery, contrasts and impossible landscapes that we could have never imagined in those infinite, ice-covered latitudes.
Antarctic Takt is created by Russian artist Dasha Rush, producer of a variety of electronic music projects released on Sonic Groove and Raster Noton, founder of the Fullpanda Records label and a phenomenal DJ, in collaboration with the visual artist Stanislav Glaszov.
ATTENTION: This show will have a separate ticket that will cost €3 and can be purchased at the box office on Thursday 8 November from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The capacity will be limited exclusively to 150 people.
Conducted in collaboration with Eyesberg Studio, FIU House and Telenoika, The Mastery of Immersion is a workshop focused on the creation of narrative content for fulldome 360º and the introduction and application of the Smode Studio software, a tool that allows one to work in an agile way thanks to its architecture. With the support of adidas Originals.
The workshop, which will take place from 29 October 29 to 6 November, will consist of a theoretical part at FIU and the headquarters of the Telenoika association, and a practical part in the MIRA Dome by adidas Originals (located in the exterior of Fabra i Coats). It will cover all the basic aspects of a fulldome project, the creation of 360º audiovisual content with Smode, the technical approach and the different narrative formats for immersive environments.
The masterclass, which will be held on Wednesday 7 November at MIRA Dome by adidas Originals (in the exterior of Fabra i Coats), will be of free admission and will be focused on the creation of content for 360º dome, with a focus on visual narratives. Several examples of storytelling and the different possibilities to transform them into an immersive experience will be presented. Register for the masterclass HERE.
