New artists added to 3D Sound Room by SON Estrella Galicia

15.08.2017

Today we go back to the path of June 27‘s announcement on MIRA 2017’s most important novelty: the premiere of the 3D Sound Room by SON Estrella Galicia, a second stage that is born with the aim of expanding the festival’s program and activities. This space of the Centre d’Art Contemporani will be completely transformed since its daily use as a museum room will cease to step onto a stage with 3D sound and specially programmed from our vision of the current oriented-to-dance electronic music.

The tech addition of this new stage seeks to maximize the relationship between space, audio and interaction with the audience through the programming of surround-sound shows with the audio immersive technology created by Intorno Labs. With a multi-channeled sound system with speakers located around the room, you’ll see the artist performing from its center in an unprecedented multi-sensorial environment where you will perceive sound’s depth and movement.

The 3D Sound Room by SON Estrella Galicia has already four artists confirmed for the event the next 9, 10 and 11 November. On June’s first announcement we had Voiski, a key figure of the Parisian scene with a show where he’ll mix (what himself called) post-trance and techno with infinite loops, powerful beats and futuristic sound; and Tolouse Low Trax, a pope of the great scene in Düsseldorf and co-founder of the legendary Salon des Amateurs, who will offer a different-genres live with dance minimal sounds and fuzzy, full of energy scenarios.

In the second wave of artists announced on July 19 we added Ferenc, the legendary techno project by Fra Soler and Maxi Ruiz, two true masters on the Barcelona scene that after having released some mind-blowing albums in Kompakt and a few years of silence, they’ve resumed their common work and will perform live the new songs that’ve created this 2017; and Palmbomen II, the solo project of LA-based producer Kai Hugo who debuted with a self-titled album (Beats in Space, 2015) influenced by the legendary X-Files series, and one who we’ll see live offering his particular vision of 80’s spontaneous and rough house by the hand of the phenomenal ‘Memories of Cindy’ EPs (Beats in Space, 2017).

Stay tuned: we’ll announce the other artists performing in this new stage in September!
