AEDOSSYNTH
At MIRA 2026, Marc Arnela will present AEDOSSYNTH, a live audiovisual performance in which humans and artificial heads engage in dialogue through electronic music. At the centre of the performance is a polyphonic synthesizer made up of three singing heads, each with its own vocal identity. Inside each one, a loudspeaker acts as an artificial larynx, generating sound that resonates through MRI-based vocal tract geometries.
Live on stage, Marc Arnela performs AEDOSSYNTH using an expressive MIDI keyboard, generating real-time vowel synthesis, while I AM JAS builds the electronic soundscape. At the same time, animated versions of the singing heads are projected at large scale, transforming the relationship between voice, body and machine into a sonic and visual performance.
