At MIRA 2026, Óldo Erréve will present IMAGO Teōsinte (2026), an audiovisual performance and interactive installation connecting body, technology and ancestral memory. Through video mapping, holograms and motion sensors, the figure of teocintli —the sacred maize and wild ancestor of modern corn— becomes a digital presence that reacts to the movement of the body.

With choreography and art direction by Lukas Avendaño and original music by Safety Trance and Vmpi, the performance merges physical and digital presence within a virtual altar inhabited by forms inspired by maize and Sitotroga. The work creates a liminal space in which the ancestral emerges through virtual matter, confronting colonial structures while reconnecting the contemporary body with its origins.
